Fall in Cape Breton is a celebration season, and the churches help communities to celebrate in many ways. Look at the list of events on our calendar and see how those events highlight our history, our culture, our spiritual life. Anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Festivals, Community events help us celebrate life itself. And in a way that's what the weekly worship is also, a celebration of our life in and with God. Rev. Janice MacLean  in her reflections for an E-Retreat writes this: "The shaping power of celebration may be the integrating dynamic in our elegant and increasingly complex universe.  Once we begin to celebrate, all things become possible."  May it be so.
