Chalmers United Church in Groves Point (also known as the Church in the Glen) has its roots in a Scottish Presbyterian background. Thomas Chalmers, for whom the church is named, was a distinguished Presbyterian preacher. The church was dedicated on Sunday, July 28, 1907 with Rev. G.W. Murray serving as minister. It is no longer used for regular worship.
